Must-See Information about Traveling to Korea

K-ETA and Q-CODE Applications

Turkish citizens are exempt from visa application for their touristic visits to Korea for less than 90 days. However, in order to enter Korea and be exempt from quarantine, they must register with the K-ETA and Q-CODE systems. We have prepared information about K-ETA and Q-CODE applications for you below. Additionally, you can find a presentation and K-ETA guide with detailed information on traveling to Korea in general and applying for K-ETA and Q-CODE.

K-ETA

As of September 2021, the Korean Government has switched to the K-ETA system for foreign visitors' trips to Korea. Until K-ETA, you have to apply from the link below, but we recommend that you do it at least 1 week before because in some cases it can take longer than 72 hours for approval. For detailed information about the application, you can read our attached “K-ETA Announcements” file.

Required information and documents for K-ETA: Personal information, passport information, travel history to Korea, purpose of entry to Korea, address and contact information in Korea, current infectious disease report, criminal record, one photograph.

*For K-ETA application, you need to pay 10000 KRW (Approx. 9-10 USD).

Q-CODE

As of March 2022, the Korean Government activated the Q-CODE application as a Covid-19 precaution. To be exempt from the 7-day quarantine, you must apply from the link below, define your vaccination and PCR test information and get a data matrix. In order to receive Q-CODE, it is necessary to be vaccinated for 2 doses with one of the vaccines approved by the World Health Organization (Pfizer, Moderna, Astrazeneca, Johnson, Novavax, Sinovax, Sinopharm, Covishield, Covaxin, Covavax) and for at least 14 days after the second dose, at most. Must have passed 180 (or have had a third dose of vaccination).

Information and documents required for Q-CODE: Personal information, flight information, address and contact information in Korea, travel and illness history, vaccination information, and negative PCR test result information obtained 48 hours before departure.
